Sister Act Nun Run 2010
In aid of Barnardo's

When the team from Sister Act The Musical and Barnardo's got together to launch London's first ever Nun Run last year, few could have imagined what a success it would be and indeed what the sight of a thousand nuns would look like as they pounded the streets of the capital. The run raised over £30,000, which was donated to Barnardo's and was the start of an annual gathering of sisters...in trainers!
Following on from the success of last year, the Nun Run 2010 has been announced! On 2nd May 2010, join the crowd of nuns who will pound the streets of London once more to raise money for Barnardo's.
The run will start on Potters Fields next to City Hall on the South Bank and make a short loop around Shad Thames going under and then over Tower Bridge. You'll pass historic landmarks such as The Tower of London and St. Pauls before crossing the river and returning past Millennium Bridge and Tate Modern.
We're praying for another beautiful Bank Holiday weekend, with live performances from choirs before and after the run and Fit for a Princess will be back to lead 'The Big Warmup which made more than a few appearances on YouTube last year! The run will begin at 10am, with registration from 8.30am.
A fantastic day out for all the family, whether you want to beat your best time, or just enjoy a stroll through the city, make sure you don't miss the Nun Run 2010! Check out the photos and video footage below of last year's event for a taster of the fun to come…..
